'Create with your soul' from Visible Image

Bonjourno folks :D
I hope we are all well!

I know it's Saturday but I swapped my DT day this week with the fantastic Kay Dalton my teamie,
because I had to go to the hospital on Tuesday, discharged now and my knee is getting better every day :)
Thanks again Kay :)

I'm rather addicted to one (ok ALL) of the stamps  I've used for today's blog......I love it.....It's purely AWESOME!
Designed and made by Mr Po(Mark) and written by Madge(Helen)
'Tis boooooiful' and at £4.99 a steal!!!

So without further ado.........

This stamp is the NEW 'Create with your soul'....
Isn't it ace?.....I love it :)

Now I wanted to make a canvas, I'd never done one before and it was a bit of a flop as I didn't realise i needed to gesso it first OOPS!....but watch this space I WILL WIN one day!

Anyway instead I had a couple of box frames I hadn't used, so why not put them to use?

I started off with a piece of textured water colour card and heat embossed 'Create with your Soul' in ebony wow and then heat embossed the retro dots background and grunge polka dot in heat it up's Silver pearl.
For the Grunge flourish I heat embossed this in wow ebony and apple red and also the crackled background....these are ALL amazing stamps and Visible Image have some real beauty background stamps!

Next I used 3 distress inks.....black soot, festive berries and iced spruce, applied with small sponges.

For the outer framed matt I used the grunge flourish in wow ebony.
To finish with.....lots of metal embellishments, hearts, dragon fly, note,.flowers, pins and gems.
I made this for our bedroom :) and I LOVE it!

For my next box frame LOL the same technique but just with heat it up silver pearl, blazing red stazon ink and Royal purple for the grunge flourish (this stamp was made for this verse!
(They go together perfectly like Wills and Kate!)

For the background colours I used Victorian velvet and seedless preserves DI.

Finishing off with the gorgeous butterfly stamp and some pearls.

This next pic hasn't taken so great with the glass.

Lastly I made a card same technique again, used with grape wow embossing powder used for the verse this time and  seedless preserves and wild honey DI.
So as you can see....addicted! LOL

The verse is a must people its a dream to stamp as are all Visible Image stamps.

Christmas makes

Hello people :)

I treated myself to a couple of Indigo Blu Christmas stamps a few weeks ago and finally got round to playing with them!

For my first card I used the Ickle Christmas Tree dinkie and heat embossed in wow black twinkle and coloured the baubles with twinkling H20  Mallard and Guatemalan green  and when dry added some diamond stickles, finally layering onto green mirror board.
For the sentiment I used the fabulous Vintage Merry Christmas from Visible Image.

For my second card I used the cute little fella Snowman dinkie

I heat embossed him with wow ebony and coloured him in with promarkers, used tumble glass DI for the background and my quickie glue pen and glamour dust for twinkle in the sky and finished him off with diamond stickles on his body.

The AWESOME background is from Visible Image and is the fantastic Christmas Background, I love this stamp.....I used 3 different shades of blue DI and the sentiment is again from Visible Image stamps  the Vintage Merry Christmas heat embossed in wow black twinkle.

Finished by layering on blue mirror board and adding some snowflakes......oops I forgot to add some gems!

For the greeting inside the cards I used the 'Miracle of Christmas' its a beautiful sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by :D
Much Love

Winter scene with Visible Image

Helloooooo

It's 'Soozie Tooseday' again for the fabulous Visible Image

For today's creation I've made my 1st Christmas card of the year with one of my favourite Christmas stamps :D
Now the Winter scene just takes me there, it captures my imagination and looks such a lovely, homely place to be with comforting winter food waiting for you inside on a big oak table and a huge roaring open fire with the dog asleep in front of it!
I just want to be there right NOW!
What a steal at £6!!

I heat embossed the stamp with wow ebony onto white card, cut out, measured and cut into 3 sections, with a combination of fairy dust and dry glitter clear rock candy gave some dimension and texture to the snow and mounted onto black mirror board and attached with foam pads.

For the background I used the classic Gaudete background, now this stamp is a huge 14cm x 10cm for a piddly £8.99 and its stunning, just perfect for backgrounds and  I just love the font.
I stamped this in memento tuxedo black and layered onto red mirror board with some ribbon.
Finally adding 2 red mirror board die cut snowflakes with black gems and mounted onto a 6 x 6 black card.

It's definitely put me in the mood to make some more Crimbo cards so watch this space :D

'Silverheels Brave Set' at Visible Image

Hello Y'all
It's 'Soozie Tooseday' all over again :D

Today I'm going to show you my Silverheels makes from the 'SILVERHEELS BRAVE' set

For my first card I coloured Big Chief in with my promarkers, trying to capture Johny Depps Tonto character, cut out, attached his tomahawk after again colouring and cutting.
Stamped the 2 vultures in wow primary ebony, cut out and after creating my background  with distress inks and gold frantage( for sand) I attached with foam pads, for the fire I used my promarkers and gold frantage again and to finish before mounting I stamped both sentiments in ebony wow and made 4 smoke rings with my glue pen and glamour dust :)

For my second make I drew and cut out a teepee, used the logs stamp at the top and the border stamp  from 'Tala catching dreams' for the decoration along with the cat's paw from the 'Good luck set' and drew my own stitching.
I coloured and cut out Silverheels and the bow and arrow again from 'Tala catching dreams' and used the border stamp for his quiver.
Distress inked the backing paper, tore the sand base and stamped the vultures.
Adding a silver tomahawk from my treasure chest.
Finally adding 'Be Brave' and the 'courage lies within' sentiments

So here's what you get....2 sentiments, Silverheels and 5 more accessory stamps, 8 stamps in total for £11.99.....what a bargain!  Click HERE if you feel like treating yourself :)

Here's what 'Tala catching dreams' consists of, again £11.99

'Sentimental September Challenge at Visible Image'

Hellooooooo :D

Oh wow it's September already!
Summer (if you can call it that) is coming to an end :(
But on a plus side, the kids are back at school YEY!

So, September means a brand new challenge at Visible Image
This month is all about sentiments, so use any Visible Image verse or sentiment and be in with a chance of winning £20 to spend on stamps and the top 3 chosen by the team receive a blinkie.
* please remember NO DIGI'S allowed*
Enter HERE!

For my creation today I used the AWESOME verse called 'Hearts entwined' written by Helen Michelle from Visible Image.......
May I just take this opportunity to once again congratulate Watty (Mark) and Madge (Helen)
on their newly announced engagement.....wishing you both every happiness for your future :)
Don't forget my invite ;)

This is in fact their engagement card :D

I decided to do an easel card with a simple vintage look, the verse is the 'star' of the card so I don't feel it needs to be a busy card as it just retracts away from the focal point!

I have used some papers ( from J'adore) which is a bit unusual for me,  I have nothing against backing papers its just I prefer to make my own background with stamps or inks.
But for this occasion they suited perfectly.
I also used Aged Mahogany distress ink to give the edging vintage finish and wow Vanilla white embossing powder for the beautiful verse <3

For the base I used wow burgundy red embossing powder for the rose stamp and 'Love is forever' sentiment from the magnificent 'Love is Immortal' set and the flourish stamp I used as my border is from Jake Skates but the beautiful 'Grunge flourish' would also give the same effect ( AWESOME STAMP)...well they all are but I LOVE this one :D
To finish I add some roses and pearls, the verse and sentiment are raised on foam pads.

Hope you like it but most of all I hope Watty and Madge like it!

Join us over on our facebook group for all the latest news and creations :D

I hope our awesome DT will inspire you to enter the challenge this month for 'Sentimental September', pop on over and please have a looksy.

I'll be back on Tuesday for 'Soozie Tooseday' so see y'all then
Much Love

Suze
